It is awarded to a Service Member or Veteran who has been touched by war.  The Quilt says unequivocally, &#8220;Thank you for your service and sacrifice in serving our nation.&#8221;  To use the term Quilt of Valor, Quilts of Valor or QOV, the quilt must be a specific size, must have a label with required information, it must be awarded (it is not a gift) and it must be recorded.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><u>How do I nominate a veteran for a Quilt of Valor?<\/u><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Go to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.qovf.org\">www.qovf.org<\/a> \u00ae<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Click on <strong>Nominations and awards<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click on <strong>Nominate a Service Member or Living Veteran<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click on <strong>\u201cOnline Nomination Form\u201d<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Arrow down to and click on <strong>\u201cOnline Nomination Form\u201d<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Once the nomination form is completed, you will be contacted by the QOV Group Leader representing the area that your veteran lives in.
