Holiday Brunch (PMS)

""

‘Twas the day of the brunch, when all through the school

Not a machine was stitching, not even a hand

The quilts were laid on the stage with care

In hopes community quilts would soon be there.

The agencies were waiting ever so humble

While visions of food made our tummies rumble

And our Pres in her gown, and us in our cloaks

Had just settled in to hear all the jokes.

When from the mic our table was called

We sprang from our seats not to be stalled

Away to the feast, we flew like a flash

Grabbed a plate and filled it, just like our stash

The lights on the tables sparkled and twinkled

Gave the glow of love and new friendships kindled

When, what to our wondering eyes should appear,

But a miniature sleigh, and ten team members.

With an amazing leader, so lively and proud,

We knew in a moment it must be the Quilts

More adored and admired by the membership

For all the hard work and love to share.

Now it is time to hear from all

On Bear’s Paw! On Chevron! on Card Trick! on Friendship Star!

To my stash! To my pile of scraps!

Now stitch away! Stitch away! Stitch away all!
